Steve Cvetko, CEO and Founder

Steve is an investment banker with more than 30 years’ experience, providing cross border corporate finance advice and 4 years of Agribusiness funds management.

Steve’s Corporate Finance Advisory experience spans M&A, divestments, IPO’s, restructuring, government asset privatisations, private equity and capital markets.

Steve commenced his career in Australia at Ernst & Young Corporate Advisory and subsequently worked for Potter Warburg (SG Warburg JV) and Barclays (BZW) where he had the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of industry sectors including Building & Construction Materials, Utilities, Airports, Air Transport, Financial Institutions, Resources, Technology, Health Care and Media. In 2000, Steve joined Rabobank, specialising in the Food & Agribusiness industry.  As Head of M&A, Australasia, Steve led and developed the business and completed a number of landmark deals, including the sale of more than 13 million hectares of agricultural real estate.

In late 2007 Steve joined Deutsche Bank Group (Asset Management) in Singapore and completed a range of direct investments globally in the Food & Agribusiness sector.

In 2011 Steve founded Zadar Capital in Singapore and subsequently extended its representation into Hong Kong.    The business is now based in  Sydney Australia.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Merit), University of NSW, is an Associate, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Fellow Financial Services Institute of Australasia and was previously a Licensed Agent, NSW, Australia for Real Estate, Stock & Station Agency and Business Broking.

Martin Green, Hong Kong

Martin Green is a Representative and Advisory Board Member of Zadar Capital and is currently a Private Investor based in Hong Kong for listed and unlisted investments, covering technology, gaming and blockchain as well as fashion, F&B, industrial and enterprise software segments.

Martin brings to Zadar a wide range of experience in business and finance over approximately 25 years including roles as a CEO, Director, investor and advisor to numerous businesses. Martin spent 10 years with Consolidated Press Holdings working directly with Kerry Packer, James Packer and Ashok Jacob across investments including Crown Casino, Consolidated Meat Group, Jurlique, PC Tools, Open Tel and Pretty Girl Fashion.

Martin has been based in Hong Kong since 2007 where he initially sourced and accessed opportunities for the Packer Family including Ski fields and Aquariums in Australia and Asia. Since the end of 2009 he has been involved in a broad range of businesses, including Juwai IQI which uses its technology platform to sell real estate across 15 countries and operates with the aim of empowering Asian consumers to be global residents. Martin was a Director of Animoca Brands which at the time was a leader in mobile games but has evolved to become the global leader in branded blockchain gaming.

Martin has an extensive network of contacts in Asia across many industries.

Lucas Weatherill

Lucas Weatherill is an Advisory Board Member for Zadar Capital and was previously Head of Capital Markets at GIC, a sovereign wealth fund established by the Government of Singapore.

At GIC, Lucas was responsible for short, medium and long term returns across countries and asset classes, working with the Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer on risk management overlay programs at a total portfolio level.

Lucas has also held senior management roles at Deutsche Asset Management, Schroder’s and Prudential. He also is the founder of Maiora Asset Management.

Lucas is based in Singapore.

Lucas has an M. Fin, Finance, RMIT University and a B. Bus (Eco & Fin), Economics, Finance, RMIT University

Nick Kharsas

Nick is principal of his own advisory practice (RKK &Co) focusing on growth strategies for FMCG food companies. He is currently consulting to a number of leading family FMCG companies.

Nick held senior roles over a 40-year career including:

  • CEO of PZ Cussons Australia, a major UK listed FMCG entity;

  • CEO The Laminex Group, leading its sale to the private equity firm CVC Asia Pacific; and

  • more recently as GM Commercial of Black Swan Foods which was sold to Monde Nissin Corporation (Philippines) in 2014.

Nick led companies ranging from revenues of $50m to $500m p.a. during periods of major transition across a variety of external – internal cultures from Poland, UK,  Kenya, Thailand and Australia.

Nick has a B. Engineering (Chemical) University of Melbourne and an MBA from the University of Melbourne

Rob Hulme

Rob is the Co-founder and Asia Director of Beanstalk Agritech Pty Ltd, an innovation agency that connects agribusiness corporates, innovators and investors to identify key challenges and scout, trial and scale solutions. Core focus on food production efficiency and waste asset management across Asia Pacific. He is also the CEO of Boralis Pte Ltd, a Singapore based agribusiness advisory providing support for due diligence, M&A, market access and portfolio innovation across crop protection, biologics and seeds with a focus on Asia Pacific.

From 1992 to 2017, Rob held various senior positions within Bayer CropScience, including:

  • Head of Business Development and Industrial Sales, Innovation ASEAN Bayer CropScience APAC, Singapore (Crop Protection)

  • CEO and Country Head, Greater China, Beijing (Crop Protection and Seed)

  • Country Division Head, Vietnam and Cambodia

  • Mergers and Acquisitions Manager, Germany (Crop Protection)

  • Various management roles in Australia (Crop Protection)

Rob’s experience at Bayer CropScience across a wide range of countries and functions gives him a deep understanding of the challenges of agriculture and the potential of Agritech solutions for the future.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science (Agronomy and Soil Science) and Post Graduate Diplomas of Science in Agriculture (Plant Physiology) (University of New England, Armidale NSW, Australia) and Business Management (University of Melbourne).

Sid Jain is a specialist in agribusiness, nutrition & food. He is the founder and CEO of Biomeg Asia Pacific Pte. Limited, a boutique life science company based in Singapore. Jain is a specialist in establishing and bringing novel technologies and specialty ingredients in agribusiness, food and nutrition to market.

Jain has 20+ years of experience in delivering P&L growth for leading international companies & start-ups in nutrition, food & agribusiness sectors.

Jain’s experience spans across leading growth for industry leaders such as Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Ingredion, Syngenta, CSIRO Australia & Ridley Corporation in Asia-Pacific.

Jain’s specialisation & expertise includes:
